Where things stand

About the game

What kind of game is Sideline Legacy?

It's a football head coach simulator. You coach a fictional pro team through whole seasons, from putting the game plan together during the week to calling plays on game day, and you keep going for as long as you can hold onto a job.

Do I control the players on the field?

No. You're the coach, so you never control a player on the field.

Is it a management game or a coaching game?

Both, depending on which job you take. As head coach you focus on the team and the games. As head coach and general manager you also run the roster, which means scouting, the draft, contracts, trades and cuts.

Is it a single-player game?

Yes, it's single-player.

Is Sideline Legacy an NFL GM simulator?

No. It's a football GM and head coach simulator set in its own fictional league, and it has no NFL license or affiliation. The clubs, players and league are all made up.

Is it based on a real league?

No. Every club, player and league in the game is made up.

What does the game look like?

Pixel art. Games play out on a top-down field, and big moments like draft night and the press conference each get their own scene.
