A football GM game where you coach the team too
Some head coaches just coach. Others get the final say on the roster as well. In Sideline Legacy you pick which job you want, and if you take both, you're running a football GM game all week and coaching the team on game day.
This is American football at the pro level, with draft classes and a salary cap that forces hard choices. If you came looking for an American football manager game, you're in the right place.

Pick your role
Take the head coach job and work with the players you're given. Or take the head coach and general manager job and make the personnel calls yourself. The game treats them as two different jobs with different authority, so take the one you actually want.

A football general manager game that starts with scouting
Every draft class is full of names you've never heard of. You build your board, watch prospects work out and decide who's worth a pick. How much you know about a player depends on how much scouting you've put into him, so you're going to miss on some guys. Everybody does.

The draft gets a night of its own. When you're on the clock, your staff are in the war room with you, and each one's track record is right there, so you know whose opinion has paid off before. Make the pick and the commissioner announces it from the podium while your guy comes up on stage for his photo. Guys who go undrafted aren't gone either. Some of them can still make your team.

Free agency and signing day
When the season's over, free agency opens and every club is chasing the same players. You make your offers, and on signing day you find out who's coming and who took the money somewhere else.

Running a pro football team means living with the salary cap. Every big contract you hand out this year is money you won't have next year, so paying one guy usually means letting somebody else go.
Contract years matter too. A player heading into the last year of his deal is playing for his next one, and some guys won't show up at all until they get paid. You can trade with the other clubs in the league, and if you want to make a move during the season, get it done before the trade deadline.
